Mopar Muscle True Street Challenge
Criteria
- All cars must be street legal.
- This event will be compiled of three individual groupings. Each car will be evaluated on it's own merit. Overall show appearance and workmanship, drag strip ¼-mile e.t., and reliability - how it handles daily driving.
- If your car is chosen to participate in the Mopar Muscle True Street Challenge, your car must make at least one pass down the drag strip. We will take the best time of your available two allotted runs as your best.
- Each car must use readily available 93-octane or lower fuel (NO RACE GAS ALLOWED). All cars must come to the event with less than ¼ tank of gas. We will then put gas in them at the station next to the track.
- Slicks not allowed for racing competition. All tires must be DOT approved. (DOT approved "racing" tires are allowed.) One set of tires must be used for all three portions of this event. (Whatever tires you drive the road trip on, you must race on those tires as well.)
- Your car must pass NHRA tech for the et. it runs. EXAMPLE: If your car runs quicker than an 11.50 second et., you must have the appropriate NHRA approved safety equipment for that e.t.
- Application into the Contest: To have your car chosen for the Mopar Muscle True Street Challenge. You must pre-enter your vehicle in a MATS event, (Car Show, Drag Racing etc) to be eligible for the "Mopar Muscle True Street Challenge". You can enter online or print and fill out an application and mail it in before March 25th, 2011. Your application in to the event must be accompanied by several photos of your vehicle (photo's will not be returned). Send your application to Mopars at the Strip 2251 North Rampart #280, Las Vegas, NV 89128, must be postmarked before two weeks prior to the event date.
- Selection: All applications are forwarded to the staff at Mopar Muscle Magazine for their review, the staff at Mopar Muscle makes the selection from the applicants, and notification is made by phone with updated event information. Notification will be made one week prior to the event dates. If you receive a phone call from Mopar Muscle your in the competition at Mopar at the Strip.
