Hello Mopar Enthusiasts:
A special thank-you note to Phil Painter and Mopars at the Strip staff for their help March 2009. I drove 1500 miles from Edmonton Alberta Canada to attend Mopars at the Strip.
When I turned off I-15 the clutch went in my truck. I managed to get to the main gates pulling a 28-foot car hauler and asked to speak with someone from Mopars at the Strip. They put me in touch with Phil Painter. I told Phil my problem and he said, "Don't worry". He let me park the trailer in the event grounds 3 days early.
But, the story gets better yet. Phil put me in touch with a friend of his who owns Strip Husky/Fastway Automotive (Corby Martens). I managed to get the truck to him by 2:00 pm. Corby told his employee to load our luggage into his truck and drive us to our hotel. By 4:30 pm Corby phoned and told me what was wrong with my truck.
The next day at 3:00 p.m. I received a phone call that my truck was ready and "Stay put - I'll send someone to get you!"
Without this help from great and caring people, this trip could have been a disaster. So, a big thank-you to Phil Painter, Corby Martens and employees.
Hope to see you March 2010.
