2009 Schedule

Wednesday, March 18
No one admitted on this day. If you need early trailer drop off, please contact security at Las Vegas Motor speedway (702/632-8029) for a reservation for early drop off or post event parking.

Thursday, March 19
Event move in for Manufacturers' Midway from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Drag racer pits open from noon to 8 p.m. *Tech opens at noon. ETI tech offered. Please pre-enter to ensure smooth move in.

Friday, March 20
Gates open at 6 a.m. for all participants and vendors.

GATE INFORMATION

All spectators and participants are encouraged to use Interstate 15 to Exit 54 (Speedway Boulevard). All facility entry gates will be located on the left side of the street. Please follow the signs.

Hollywood Gate
Show cars, auction, swap meet vendors, Fun Field, and car corral participants, please use the Speedway Boulevard Hollywood Gate and follow the loop road towards the dirt track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway pit area. This will be the only entry point for show cars, swap meet vendors, Fun Field, and auction participants.

Gate C
Racers & Jeep Off-Road participants and Manufacturers' Midway, please use Speedway Boulevard. This will be the only entry point for Racers, Manufacturers' Midway and Jeep Off-Road Poker Run participants.

Gate A
Spectators, please use Speedway Boulevard, Gate A. *Speed limit in the pits is 10 mph.

Friday, March 20

8 a.m. Tech inspection opens.
8:30 a.m. General gates open for all others.
10 a.m. All show car participants need to be in their assigned spaces ready for judging. Vehicles must remain in assigned spaces until 4:30 p.m.
10 a.m. All Mopar Muscle magazine True Street cars must be in True Street parking area (located near the main entrance to the event, between the ticket booths) and ready for the judging portion of Challenge.
10 a.m. Time trials begin. Two sessions, run by class. Run order: Hemi Super Stock SS/AH, Nostalgia Super Stock, Quick 16, Stock/Super Stock, Super Pro, Pro, New Hemi Challenge, Sport Compact, Street, Truck, Viper, Slant 6, Time only.
1 p.m. Driving portion of the Mopar Muscle True Street Challenge begins. Meet (with your car) in the True Street parking area.
3 p.m. Auction open house.
4:30 p.m. Clean-up Run (time permitting for any car not getting two runs).
5 p.m. Track events conclude for the day.
5 p.m. Presentation of the Mopar Collector's Guide/Painter Dodge Fastest Hemi Super Stock Cup at the conclusion of Hemi Super Stock qualifying.
5 p.m. Tentative start time for the Burnout Contest, limited to 10 competitors.
5-8 p.m. Possible special race program for Mopar racers at the Strip (TBA).
6 p.m. Welcome to Las Vegas party and cruise, hosted by the Cannery Hotel and Casino. Interstate 15 and Craig Road. Five miles south on I-15 to Craig Road exit, go west 1 mile to the Cannery. Corner of Losee Road and Craig, 2121 West Craig Road, 702/507-5700. Mopar vehicles will be on display, live music, Quarter-Mile of Mopars display, plenty of food and drink. All food, spirits, and gaming at the Cannery are additional pay items.
10 p.m. Tentative end of scheduled activity at the Cannery.
 
Saturday, March 21
 
6 a.m.Gate opens for all show participants.
8 a.m.Gates open for Time Trial sessions, run by class (same order as Friday).
8 a.m.First round Hemi SS/AH (TBD).
10 a.m.All show car participants need to be in their assigned spaces ready for judging. Vehicles must remain in assigned spaces until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
11:30 a.m.Pre-auction meeting.
Noon.Indy Quick 16 Qualifying No. 1, Stock/Super Stock, Exhibition, Hemi Super Stock Shootout round.
1 p.m.Jeep/Dodge Off-Road participants leave for off-premise event.
1 p.m.All-Mopar auction begins.
2 p.m.Gambler Race/Run for the money, open to all racers. $20 to enter, eight closest cars to dial-in face-off for cash and prizes.
4 p.m.Second round of Indy Quick 16 Qualifying No. 2, Stock/Super stock, Hemi Super Stock.
4:30 p.m.Daily event awards will be available for pick up at this time.
4:30 p.m.Mopar Muscle True Street Challenge timed runs. After you make your first pass, return to the staging lanes for your second pass.
4:30 p.m.Clean-up run (time permitting).
4:30-5 p.m.Presentation of the MCG Fastest Hemi Super Stocker Payout, presentation of Quick Bounties in Quick 32, Super Pro. Mopars at the Strip low e.t awards in Sport Compact, Truck, Slant 6, New Hemi Challenge, and Viper.
5 p.m.Hemi Super Stock racing concludes.
5:30 p.m.Tentative start time of Burnout contest, limited to 10 competitors.
5:30 p.m.Secure track.
6:30-10:00 p.m.Post Mopars at the Strip party and cruise at the Cannery Hotel/Casino.
7:30-9 p.m.Cannery concert featuring World Classic Rockers 2.
 
Sunday, March 22
 
6 a.m.Gates open for all participants.
7:30 a.m. Racers for Christ service.
8 a.m. Gates open for all others.
8 a.m. E.T brackets Run-for-the-Money ($20 per entry, 50-percent payback to winner).
9:30 a.m. First round eliminations, all bracket classes.
11 a.m. Award ceremonies and special introductions. Track prep by LVMS for Finals.
Noon. Resume racing, Indy Cylinder Quick 16 Eliminations start.
12:15 p.m. Stock/Super Stock, Round 1.
12:25 p.m. Exhibition classes.
12:30 p.m. Second round eliminations, all bracket classes, continue until end of racing.
1 p.m. Indy Quick 16 Round 2 (8 cars).
2 p.m. Indy Quick 16 Round 3 (4 cars).
2 p.m. Show car winners will be posted and announced at the auction tent.
3 p.m. Final exhibition runs.
3:30 p.m. Giveaway car and guitar presentation.
3:30 p.m. Car winners parade of champions down the drag strip return road.
4 p.m. Indy Quick 16 Round 4 (Finals).
4 p.m. All Finals.
4:30 p.m. Victory Lane awards and pay-outs.
5-6 p.m. Drag eliminations proceed to Finals.
