Scottsdale, AZ to Las Vegas, NV:

Meet at McDonald's in Scottsdale, Arizona. Thursday, March 25th from 8:30 am to around 10:30 am. For all those interested in cruising to the Strip together with a bunch of great Mopars from different states and Canada. (Last year we had about 120 cars!)

To get to McDonald's take the Loop 101 Freeway to Scottsdale. Exit #44 Indian Bend Road, Go West. McDonald's is on the right side of the street in the Scottsdale Pavilions shopping center in front of Home Depot also in the shopping center is a Union 76 gas station, Five and Diner Restaurant, Denny's, Arby's, KFC and a Target store.

After leaving McDonald's, we will get back on the loop 101 headed north staying on the 101 until it meets up with I-17. At I-17 we will go north to the Carefree Highway, take the WEST EXIT. Turn right at the Carefree Highway (state route 74) for about 30 miles exiting right onto state route 60 to Wickenburg. In Wickenburg, we will stop for fuel at the second Shell station as we come into town on the right side of the street across from Sunrise Chevrolet. Continue thru town after crossing the bridge, Take the new 93 North bypass road out of Wickenburg. In about 100 miles Route 93 merges with I-40. Get on I-40 going west, stop at I-40, exit #66 Blakes Ranch Road for fuel at the Petro truck stop, then back on I-40 West.

Next stop exit the Andy Devine off ramp in Kingman turn right at the bottom of the off ramp to Martin Swanty Dodge at 2640 East Andy Devine, where lunch will be served. The employees at Martin Swanty will be picking their favorite Mopars from the cruise and awards will be given. (Don't be in a big hurry to leave the dealership, if you will patiently wait at the Dealership, Kingman is only 90 minutes from Las Vegas. Hitting Hoover Dam from 3:30 to 5:00 pm is usually the worst time of day. Leaving the dealership after 5:00 pm normally will allow for easy passage across the dam and missing rush hour traffic in Las Vegas). After the event at Martin Swanty turn left onto Andy Devine (the original Route 66) thru town, then left onto Beale Street and under the freeway continuing on 93 towards Hoover Dam. After Hoover Dam proceed into Las Vegas on 93 north to downtown.

Those going to the Cannery take I-15 North towards Salt Lake City exiting Craig Road to the left. To see the cruise from last year go to www.youtube.com type in "Mopars at the Strip 2009" and click on the icon for "Cruise from Scottsdale to Las Vegas".
