Q) Is there a secured parking area to leave my rig before and after the event?
A) Yes, contact security at LVMS at 702-632-8029 for trailer drop off prior to the event. No trailers will be accepted inside the drag race facility until move-in day, Thursday, March 25.
Q) How far is it from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to downtown Las Vegas?
A) Approximately 10 miles south on Interstate 15.
Q) How do I get a room at the Cannery?
A) The Cannery sells its rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis. The event is scheduled within a three-week window every year in late March or early April. The event date is usually secured by the first week in August. Information should be available at that time. The Cannery will sell out in hours of the date announcement.
Q) Can I do burnouts at the Cannery?
A) No. ZERO TOLERANCE for any burn outs, tire smoking or reckless behavior while at the Cannery.

Q) Are there rental cars available at discounted rates?
A) Yes, call Enterprise Rental Car at 800-Rent-Car or 702-795-8842, mention Mopars at the Strip.
Q) What is the policy for large race class participation?
A) If a class has over 150 qualified participants who make the call for first round of eliminations, that class will pay back to the eights round an amount equal to the entry fee of that class.
Q) What happens if I miss a class call-up during eliminations?
A) You're disqualified as a no-show. Your opponent gets a bye run.
Q) What is the Mopar Muscle True Challenge?
A) If you've always wanted to get your car in the pages of Mopar Muscle magazine, here's your opportunity. The staff of Mopar Muscle invites you to send a photo of your street-legal Mopar (D.O.T tires, functioning safety and lighting, and NHRA tech legal) with your show entry. Eight Mopars will be chosen from all entrants to take part in the True Street Challenge-an e.t. shootout combined with car show and cruising. E.t. times will be determined by the fastest time slip earned at the show.
Q) Is there a tentative schedule?
A) Yes, posted on our web site, moparsatthestip.com.
Q) Does my car have to have a tech inspection if I am just doing time trials?
A) Yes, any car going down the track must have a tech inspection.
Q) Can I sign up online?
A)
Go to our online store. Follow the prompts and your registration and tickets will be sent to you 14 days prior to the event.
Q) Do I have to be present to win the giveaway car?
A) No, but you are responsible for all taxes, shipping, and so on.
Q) Can show cars make time trial passes?
A) Yes, register for the Time Only Class, which has a separate entrance fee.
Q) How do I sign up for the burnout contest?
A) The burnout contest is open to the first ten participants to sign up. Pre-registration is the best way to do this. There will be a burnout contest on Friday and Saturday. The contest is free to the first 10 entrants daily with your paid admission.
Q) Can I use a line lock while participating in the burnout contest?
A) No.
Q) Is there RV parking overnight for the weekend?
A) Yes, $75 in advance, $85 at the gate. This does not include an event admission, which is a separate cost. RV parking does not include hookups; your unit must be self-contained.
Q) Can I leave my trailer at the event so I don't have to take it to the hotel at night?
A) Yes, sign up for trailer parking: $75 as a pre-entry, $85 at the gate. All racers receive one tow trailer parking with their Race Class entry. Additional racer pit parking is available for $25 (pre-entry) and $35 at the gate.
Q) Can I bring my Mopar to the event and display it and not have it judged?
A) Yes, just pre-register the vehicle for either popular choice ($50) or the Fun Field ($50). For the Fun Field, you can drive your Mopar in and park in a specified parking area. Add $10 for day of the event. Includes one weekend pass.
Q) If my car show class has over 15 participants will it be split?
A) Yes, it will be split into brands: Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler, and so on.
Q) Can I get a copy of my judging sheets?
A) Yes, your judging sheets will be returned to you within one month of the event. Judging sheets will be sent to you upon your written request. E-mail

Q) Do I need a helmet to race?
A) Any driver whose vehicle goes faster than 13.99 is required to have a helmet.
Q) What happens in case of inclement weather?
A) Las Vegas has one of the lowest precipitation levels in the country. A decision will be made on race day by track officials.
Q) What will the weather be like?
A) A sweatshirt is advised for the early mornings; afternoons are usually nice and in the mid-70s; evenings are usually pleasant, but having a light sweater, sweatshirt, or jacket on hand is a good idea.

Q) If I won the car show in previous years, can I still participate?
A) Yes, sign up to participate in the Platinum Division. The following year you can participate in your original class again.
Q) If my car has won the Worlds Ultimate Mopar Honor, can I enter this class again with the same car?
A) No, The Worlds Ultimate Mopar Honor in Stock or Modified can be won only once as of the '08 Event.
Q) Is there a class for younger car show participants?
A) Yes, the GEN X Class is for participants 21-years-old and younger.
Q) Who is the entertainment at the Cannery for Saturday night?
A) Back by popular demand "World Classic Rockers 2"
Q) Will there be an auction to buy and sell Mopars?
A) The all-Mopar auction starts Saturday at 1 p.m.
Q) Why should I pre-register?
A) First, if you are a racer, you can drop your trailer at the strip on Thursday. Second, there will be a special award for one lucky pre-entered participant. Third, it helps us be better prepared to serve you. Fourth, you will have all your credentials at a discounted rate and can make a smooth entry into the event.

* LVMS nor the event promoters, can not be held liable for your missing packages. Packages must be received by the close of business March 24th, 2010 for delivery for the Mopars at the Strip event. Any package received after March 24th, 2010 may be returned to sender at your expense.

A) 10 mph.

A) Yes, but it is your responsible to have an exhaust hose or Stack on your exhaust, or please be a good neighbor and move elsewhere.

A) Yes it includes One. Price includes the vehicle and 1 weekend admission.
